Foundations that make sense
Children discover computers, Linux and the terminal. Programming grows naturally through Scratch for younger children and Python for older students. Web, games, AI and security follow.

Give your child the opportunity to explore technology in greater depth and gain practical experience with what is hidden “under the hood” of computers and the internet. Watch this short video to see how we teach children not only to use technology, but also to understand it.

IT ACADEMY • 30 STUDY MONTHS
The learning path is clear. 10 study months each year, with a summer break in July and August. Every study month brings a new IT skill and a practical challenge.
How long a path you choose for your child is entirely up to you. You can start with just one month, continue for half a year, choose a full school year, or take the complete 3-year path.
Children discover computers, Linux and the terminal. Programming grows naturally through Scratch for younger children and Python for older students. Web, games, AI and security follow.
Students build on what they already know and deepen their Linux, Python, cybersecurity, web, AI, networking, cloud, data and application skills.
Students move towards advanced Linux, Python, networking, cloud, security, automation and complex independent projects.
Your child does not have to wait three years to start.
They start with the foundations and gradually gain practical IT skills. Each year builds on the knowledge from the previous one.

Future opportunities
We start with the foundations and gradually broaden your child’s horizons. Linux is one common technical foundation, followed by programming, web, AI, games, networks, cybersecurity and their own projects. Every lesson is taught with a live instructor who guides the child step by step.
At the end of our year-long course, children receive an official Certificate of Completion, a valuable addition to applications for specialist schools, grammar schools and lyceums.
Breakthrough technologies today rely on powerful systems built on Linux. Roles such as AI Developer, Data Scientist and Robotics Systems Engineer are among the most sought-after and well-paid.
Experts such as ethical hackers, security analysts and data-protection specialists are highly sought after. Children learn the basics of permissions, encryption and security.
Cloud and DevOps specialists are in demand. Linux gives children a strong technical foundation that can open doors to international careers and remote work.
Everything you need to know before enrolling

Linux is an operating system, like Windows or macOS. Children discover what happens beneath the surface of a computer and learn about files, directories, the terminal and permissions.
Linux lets children understand computers technically rather than only use them. It can form a useful foundation for programming, cloud services, systems administration and cybersecurity.
IT Academy is a practical extension of a child’s digital education. It complements school and develops technical understanding, troubleshooting and systematic problem-solving.
Lessons are guided by instructors who explain technical principles clearly and step by step. Children actively experiment, solve tasks and learn from errors.
Lessons take place once a week for 90 minutes at a fixed time after 5 p.m. Parents select from the currently available days and times.
The long-term programme offers one-month, five-month and ten-month subscription options. Regular lessons pause during July and August.
A standard laptop or desktop computer, stable internet, a mouse and a headset with microphone are sufficient. A phone or tablet is not suitable for full participation.
The price includes weekly 90-minute lessons in a small group, instructor guidance, practical assignments, a structured curriculum and the technical learning environment.
Linux can support several technology pathways. It is not sufficient for a profession on its own, but it can be a valuable foundation for further study and specialisation.
No prior Linux or programming knowledge is required. Curiosity, willingness to experiment and an interest in solving problems are the most important starting points.
IT Academy is an independent educational company focused on practical IT learning for children. We want to bring high-quality, practical IT education to as many children as possible.

No expensive gaming computer or complex installation is needed. These four basics are enough:
A home PC with Windows 10/11 or macOS and at least 8 GB RAM is enough.
So your child can comfortably talk with the tutor and other children.
A touchpad works, but a mouse is easier and faster for children.
We recommend at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
Test internet speedThank you to schools and teachers for helping parents discover meaningful IT education for their children.
FAQ
Linux is a modern operating system used by servers, websites, cloud services, development tools and smart devices. It shows children what really happens inside a computer and gives them room to understand technology deeply.
No. The academy is an educational path for your child, not a requirement to change your home computer. Your child learns principles that transfer to other systems and technologies too.
The programme is designed for children approximately 8–18 years old. Teaching adapts to their experience, so they can start exploring the foundations and grow toward more advanced projects.
No. We start clearly and practically, but children do not stay at the basics. With interest and quality guidance, they can progress toward programming, systems, networks and security.
They will understand computers, Linux, files, the command line, programming, data, networks and cybersecurity principles, connecting it all through practical tasks and projects.
Linux is open, transparent and used by professionals around the world. Children see more than the buttons of finished apps: they can understand and influence how a system works.
Linux is an environment where developers work and real digital products are built. Children learn not only to write code, but to run, test, fix and use it as part of a larger system.
Security begins with understanding systems, networks and data. Linux lets children explore these principles safely and build skills that can become the foundation of a future specialisation.
Yes. The academy builds knowledge, habits and ways of thinking that children can develop systematically over the years. With long-term guidance, they can grow toward highly advanced technical skills.
Programmer, developer, systems administrator, cloud specialist, data analyst, security expert or network specialist. A strong foundation gives children the freedom to discover the path that inspires them most.
Yes. Lessons take place online from home in a small group with a tutor. Children can ask questions, share their work and progress at their own pace.
Lessons are practical and project-based. Children explore, create, solve problems and learn to explain their approach. Every step develops technical knowledge and independent thinking.

Ing. Peter Tutka
I am an IT specialist and instructor with more than 13 years of experience in information technology. I have taught more than 1,500 lessons online, giving me extensive experience teaching both children and adults. In my lessons, I show children that computers are not just for playing games. They can use them to create, discover new things, learn programming and bring their own ideas to life. I aim to make every lesson clear, practical and fun. I encourage children to create things themselves and support their curiosity and independent thinking. My goal is for children to enjoy IT and leave every lesson feeling that they have learned something new.

Behind IT akademie is me, Kateřina Pohnětalová, and I bring to the project my many years of experience in business, communication and working with clients.
IT akademie is a new project that we are building right now. We want to show children that IT is not just about playing games, but also about creating, programming, creativity, safety and their own ideas.
In the future I also plan a project called IT without barriers, so that opportunities for IT education can open up to an even wider circle of children.
We are at the very beginning and we very much look forward to our first students, their ideas and shared projects. ❤️
